City Of Riverbank Offers Memorial Day Ceremony
R Com Ctr

This weekend marks the unofficial start to the summer, and it is a three-day holiday weekend for many, with Memorial Day being observed on Monday, May 29.

City, state and federal offices will be closed on Monday, along with post offices and banks. The Riverbank News office will be closed for the holiday as well.

The City of Riverbank, however, will be presenting a special Memorial Day ‘Salute to Our Heroes’ to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice of themselves. The ceremony is also designed to pay tribute to those living who have served; and to honor those currently serving to protect our nation and our freedom.

The ceremony is open to all in the community and is scheduled for Monday, May 29 at 11:30 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Wall in front of the Community Center, 3600 Santa Fe St., Riverbank. Activities will include guest speakers, prayer, Presentation of Colors, laying of a wreath at the memorial wall, music, and light refreshments.

For more information about the Memorial Day observance, contact Cheryl Stefani at 209-863-7122, or visit City of Riverbank, City Hall North, 6707 Third St., Suite A.
