La Grange Mothers Day Breakfast Set

The Odd Fellows of LaFayette Historical Lodge #65 invite you to start Mother’s Day with a special treat. Bring the whole family to breakfast at the IOOF Hall in La Grange, May 14.

Always on the second Sunday of each month, breakfast hours are 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Enjoy the popular menu of biscuits and gravy, sausage, ham and cheese omelets and pancakes. Complimentary coffee and orange juice round out the meal, all for $6. Breakfast prices for kids ages 7 to 12 are $3, while those six and under eat for free.

After breakfast at the Odd Fellows Hall, take a walking tour of this historic Gold Rush town. On the main street you’ll see Louie’s Place Saloon and Grill, the Floto Hotel next door and the old Hammond and Bates Store on the next block. Take the road downhill to the original La Grange Bridge and view the Tuolumne River. Climb the hill beside the hotel to see St. Louis Catholic Church to the left and the Old School House on the right. The La Grange Museum is open Sunday afternoon as well, at the east end of town just across from the old Adobe Barn and windmill.

The 1881 vintage IOOF Hall, the scene of many community events in La Grange, is at 30018 Yosemite Boulevard, which is Highway 132, just east of the intersection of Highway J-59. For more information call Chris at (209) 853-2128 or email: renwah @ sonnet.com.
