MARROW DRIVE
Marrow Drive 2

BloodSource hosted a “Be The Match” registry on Friday, Dec. 11 at the Bianchi Community Center in neighboring Oakdale. Local Fire Battalion Chief Kevin Wise was diagnosed with leukemia in September and the drive was to gather registrants for potential donations, not only for Deputy Chief Wise but others in need. Wise is prepared for a bone marrow transplant on Dec. 18 at Stanford University Hospital. According to organizers, over 50 people showed up as well as donated money for the Wise family. Here, Oakdale resident Courtney Hoffman, with son Cael, 2, signs a message on a shirt for Wise with Julie Christel looking on.
