The Riverbank Recreation and Parks Department is continuing to operate the Community Swimming Pool through the month of August, even though school has reopened.

The pool will remain open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with normal fees in effect. The pool is open free of charge from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays during the weekly Farmers Market.

It’s also open on Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for Family Night, and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.

Department officials say the pool is slated to be open through the end of the month, but may close sooner, however, if it encounters low attendance.

They also say the Fall/Winter Activity Guide has gone to the printer and should be available to the public by the end of the month. The free publication will be on hand at most city offices and facilities at that time, outlining a variety of family friendly activities coming up over the next few months in the city.
