Cecil B. Armstrong, 91, died Thursday, April 24 at Oak Valley Care Center, Oakdale, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Williston, ND. He lived in the Oakdale area for more than 70 years.

He worked as a gold dredger, then at Van Pelt, and he retired from Norris Industries.

He is survived by his children, Gerald (Linda) Armstrong of Riverbank, and Marge (Ed) Lucas of Oakdale; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his life companion, Zaddie Challberg; and great grandson, Michael Dean Martin.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be at 7 p.m. the same day, also at the chapel.

Oakdale-Riverbank Memorial Chapels in charge of arrangements.
