With the school year starting up at Riverbank High School, officials have released the schedules for fall sports.

Coming up are football, girls volleyball, girls golf, co-ed cross country, and girls flag football. The flag football is returning for its second year of league play.

Flag Football

The flag football season begins with its Foundation Game, on Tuesday, Aug. 19, on the home field. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Riverbank plays at the Orestimba Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 23 and plays their first regular preseason home game on Tuesday, Aug. 26 against Oakdale.

Varsity, JV Football

RHS Football will hold a scrimmage on Friday, Aug. 15 at home starting at 7 p.m. Their first preseason game will be at home on Aug. 29, hosting Richmond High School.

Girls Volleyball

The Lady Bruin volleyball players start their season on Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Orestimba Tournament in Newman. Their first home preseason match will be against Waterford, on Wednesday, Aug. 27, with matches at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Co-Ed Cross Country

The first meet will be an Invitational at River Bluff Park in Ceres, on Aug. 29. Looking way ahead, Riverbank gets to host the Mother Lode League Championship match, on Oct. 29, at Jacob Myers Park.

Varsity Golf Girls

Lady Bruin linksters have their first action of the season on Tuesday, Aug. 26, hosting Escalon on the Escalon Golf Course.
