Earlier this spring the NBA G-League announced the relocation of the Reno Bighorns to Stockton and the team is now known as the Stockton Kings. With the season approaching, the franchise has been busy in both the community and in their front office. On Monday, Aug. 13 the team announced Ty Ellis as their head coach. On Saturday, Aug. 25 and Sunday, Aug. 26 St. Mary’s High School in Stockton will be the site for the first set of tryouts. The next opportunity is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15 and Sunday, Sept. 16 at the Stockton Kings Practice Facility in Sacramento. All try-outs are currently scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Registration must be completed online through the team’s website at www.stocktonkings.com. It costs $150 for a one day tryout or $250 for a two day tryout. If a player walks up to the tryout the day of, registration is $200 for one day.

Home games for the Stockton Kings will be at the Stockton Arena; the schedule will be released at a later date.
