Local Author Fair Due At Modesto Library

The Stanislaus County Library will host its Eighth Annual Local Author Fair on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Modesto Library portico. Community members will have an opportunity to meet with a variety of local authors. A selection of children’s, teen and adult titles in a variety of genres will be available for the public to purchase.

Participating authors include Hector R. Barrera, Ph.D., Myron Bertolero, Noah Bertolero, Elena Carpenter, Jennie Chadwick, Howard E. Cowles, Gary Crawford, Ellen Cummins, Teresa Spies Dempewolf, Greg Dempsey, Carrie Dugovic, C.E.R. Ellwood, Kim Fielding, Paul Golden, Charlene Harper, Wiley Joiner, Linda Knoll, Leona Koehn Nichols, Jennifer Kuhns, Debi Massey, Antionette Melendez, Major Mitchell, members of the Modesto-Stanislaus Poetry Center, Valerie Murphy, Claudia Newcorn, Rick Panto, Juliana Presto, Elizabeth Provost, Ann Ralph, Clive Riddle, Nancy Salmeron, Julia Sankey, Ph.D., John D. Saunders, Linda Scheller, Jack Selover, J.A. Slack, Christina Nicole Smith, Margie Vieira, Daryl Wein, Ken White, and Maiv Txiab Vam Xeeb Yaj.

“We’re excited to have so many authors join us this year, many of whom are new to our event,” said Laura Ferrell, Outreach Coordinator for the Stanislaus County Library. “The Local Author Fair is a great opportunity for the library to help highlight the area’s diverse and active writing community, and perhaps inspire future local authors.”
