Modesto Symphony Orchestra Announces Schedule Changes
Symphony

The Modesto Symphony Orchestra (MSO) has cancelled or rescheduled all concerts through Saturday, May 2, 2020 due to the COVID-19 virus and the continuation of the state’s shelter in place mandate. All ticket holders have been contacted directly with ticketing options. The MSO is posting regular updates on their COVID-19 plans at ModestoSymphony.org/mso-health-safety.

“The health and safety of our community – our patrons, musicians, staff and volunteers – is always of the utmost importance to us.” said Caroline Nickel, President and CEO of the Modesto Symphony Orchestra. “We are deeply saddened that we can’t be on stage at this time, but we look forward to performing again hopefully soon. We are grateful for everyone’s understanding and ongoing support during this unprecedented time.”

The Modesto Symphony Orchestra is a Resident Company of the Gallo Center for the Arts.

The following concert has been rescheduled: May 2, Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra Season Finale Concert; Rescheduled for May 30.

The following concerts have been cancelled: May 1 and 2, Carmina Burana.

For the time being, the May 29 and 30 Cirque de la Symphonie concerts are still taking place as originally planned. The MSO is continuing to closely monitor updates and the recommended guidance from public health experts and will send regular email updates regarding its COVID-19 plans. All updates will also be posted on the MSO website and social media.

The following options are available for those who have already purchased tickets to a cancelled concert: Donate the cost of the ticket(s) back to the MSO. This is a tax-deductible donation and helps sustain the future of the MSO so that they may continue to provide music to the community and provide support to its orchestra musicians who have also been financially impacted. Exchange for one of the Cirque de la Symphonie performances. Ticket buyers may exchange their tickets for one of the Cirque de la Symphonie performances either on Friday, May 29 at 7:30 p.m. or Saturday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Other options are to return your tickets for a voucher that may be used toward an MSO Classics concert in the 2020-21 season or you may request a refund for the value of the ticket(s).
