Don’t let the title fool you. The West Side Theatre musical comedy production ‘Murders of 1940’ is not a musical, but an ingenious and wildly comic romp play. Poking antic fun at the more ridiculous aspects of ‘show biz’ and the corny thrillers of Hollywood’s heyday, the play is a non-stop barrage of laughter as those assembled (or at least those who aren’t killed off) untangle the mystery of the “Stage Door Slasher.” Join in for a night that’s sure to be a lot of fun.
The show is scheduled weekends, Oct. 4 through 6 and Oct. 11 through 13. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m.
Doors open 30 minutes prior to performance. Tickets are $15 for general seating and $20 for reserved. Students are admitted for half price.
