The Crocker Art Museum features the world’s foremost display of California art and is at 216 O St., downtown Sacramento. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursdays.

“Turn the Page: The First Ten Years of Hi-Fructose” – June 11 through Sept. 17
Marks the 10th anniversary of the popular art magazine, Hi-Fructose. Highlighted are 51 of the most remarkable contemporary artists featured between its pages. This one-of-a-kind exhibition brings together artists whose work is not usually exhibited together. Each one is a master of their media and among the best in their field.
“Full Spectrum: Paintings by Raimonds Staprans” – June 25 through Oct. 8
Born and raised in Riga, Latvia, Raimonds Staprans has lived in Northern California for more than six decades – nearly his entire career. He has often claimed that in terms of his education, experience, and personality, he is thoroughly Latvian, whereas his paintings are purely Californian. Many of his paintings showcase the landscape and architecture of the Golden State.
“Kingsley Inspirations High School Art Show” – June 8 through Oct. 1
A Kingsley Art Club tradition, this year’s exhibition features artwork from regional high school students inspired by the Crocker Art Museum’s permanent collection and recent exhibitions. Reception: Sunday, Oct. 1, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
“2017 High School Clean Air Contest” – June 8 through Oct. 1
Breathe California of Sacramento-Emigrant Trails, in partnership with the Crocker Art Museum and the Sacramento Air Quality Management District, presents art work from its 10th Annual High School Clean Air Contest. Dedicated to healthy air and preventing lung and other air-pollution related diseases, Breathe California partners with youth, advocates for public policy, and educates the public on clean air. The contest is coordinated with Breathe California’s annual Clean Air Awards.
The Museum offers a diverse spectrum of exhibitions, events, and programs to augment its collections, including films, concerts, studio classes, lectures, children’s activities, and more.
