American Veterans First (AVF) posted up at Oakdale Feed and Seed over the weekend to assist in a ‘thank you’ barbeque. They served up 250 hamburgers and cheeseburgers, homemade macaroni salad, and water over the course of three days.

There were a few volunteers on hand like AVF CEO Duke Cooper, John Hinkel and a representative with Heath Flora’s office during the weekend barbeque.

The Oakdale Feed and Seed business hosted the barbeque during its annual sale for patrons and community members prior to the Oakdale Rodeo that will be held on Aug. 14 and 15. Cooper noted that they had a great time and made a lot of new friends.

AVF is a non-profit located in Riverbank that serves the veteran community in a variety of ways.
