The City of Riverbank has a number of activities scheduled in the coming weeks. Some of the events are geared primarily toward youngsters, some for the adults and others will offer fun for the whole family.

Meet With The Mayor

The first is another of Mayor Richard D. O’Brien’s regularly scheduled opportunities to meet with local citizens in a one-on-one get together.

It’s set for Tuesday, March 19 at City Hall, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Mayor O’Brien will be available to discuss issues, residents can ask questions, and are encouraged to share ideas.

Those interested in attending can call 209-863-7122 to make an appointment.

Eggstravaganza

The Riverbank Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled a special Easter celebration for the weekend before the March 31 holiday.

The Saturday, March 23 event will be held in Jacob Myers Park, with the first session beginning at 10 a.m. The second session begins at 11:45 a.m., and pictures with the Easter Bunny will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Those with questions can call the Parks and Rec department at 209-863-7150.

State Of The City

The mayor’s presentation of the State of the City address for Riverbank will be held on Thursday, April 11 at the Community Center, 3600 Santa Fe.

It’s a free community event, beginning at 6:30 p.m., and is designed to provide an overview of accomplishments for the city in the past year as well as a look ahead at coming projects and highlighting some of the issues that continue to be problematic, as well as touching on possible solutions.
