Concerning city elections, residents are reminded that the Riverbank Chamber of Commerce will host a "meet and greet the candidates" forum this evening, Wednesday, Sept. 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Riverbank Community Center with presentations starting at 7 p.m. The center is located at 3600 Santa Fe.
Coming up on Wednesday, Sept. 22, the League of Women Voters of Stanislaus County will sponsor a candidates forum, also at the Community Center, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Call 209-863-7198 for details.
Candidates for two council seats in the Nov. 2 election are Larry King, Keenon J. Krick, Ric McGinnis, Allison Nobert, Dotty Nygard, Richard O'Brien, Israel Hernandez, Nadine Salim and Jeanine Tucker.
