The City of Riverbank is offering a COVID-19 Non-Profit Support Program through grant funds available under the CARES Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) to help protect residents from the public health and economic impacts of COVID-19. The City Council approved $100,000 in CARES Act CRF for the Support Program.

Funds must be used solely for expenditures including utility assistance, rental/mortgage assistance, food provisions, and other COVID related impacts or expenses to assist Riverbank residents. Assistance to Riverbank residents should be structured in such a manner to ensure, as much as possible, that the assistance is necessary due to the resident suffering from the economic impact of COVID-19.

The following types of expenses may not be used with the funds, such as assistance to meet tax liabilities, purchase of personal protective equipment for residents and employees of the non-profit, or capital expenditures like the purchase of equipment or modifications to the offices.

The City reserves the right to award a lower amount in order to assist as many non-profit organizations as possible and has set a funding limit of $20,000. They also have the right to request an accounting of the funding used. The funds are being offered to non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations who serve Riverbank residents as a grant, therefore it will not be required to be paid back.

Non-Profit organizations with a 501(c)(3) are eligible to apply for the funds and must provide services to Riverbank residents. The application can be obtained at www.riverbank.org or contact Norma Torres-Manriquez at 209-863-7153 or Marisela H. Garcia at 209-863-7110 for a copy of the application. Completed applications and supporting documents can be e-mailed to finance@riverbank.org. The applications are on a first-come first serve basis until the funds are exhausted.
