Riverbank Police Services is actively investigating unconfirmed threats around Riverbank High School.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, which posted information on its Facebook page around 2 p.m. Friday, April 1, several deputies and investigators were on the RHS campus in the 6200 block of Claus Road to ensure the safety of students.

“Many rumors have been circulating by students. As of this time all threats have been unfounded,” the department noted in the posted advisory. “Please know we are working diligently to investigate any threats and to ensure the safety of our community.”

Motorists were advised to expect traffic delays in the area and it is recommended to use alternate routes.
