Empty The Shelter Event On The Schedule
Logo SASA

The Stanislaus Animal Services Agency (SASA) in Modesto is inviting the community to participate in a special “Empty the Shelter” event, generously sponsored in loving memory of Kyle MacDonald. All adoption fees for dogs will be waived during this event, taking place on Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

November marks one of the busiest times of the year for animals coming into the shelter, and SASA seeks the support of the community to find loving homes for the many dogs awaiting adoption. The event aims to create a meaningful connection between families and pets while honoring the memory of a devoted dog lover, Kyle MacDonald.

The adoption event will be hosted at Stanislaus Animal Services Agency, 3647 Cornucopia Way in Modesto.

All dog adoptions during the event will be free and on a first-come, first-served basis, so prospective adopters are encouraged to arrive early. Each adopted dog will be current on shots, microchipped, and spayed/neutered.

Kyle MacDonald’s love for his dogs, Saber and Kaeger, inspired this event, and with over 230 dogs on hand, attendees are sure to find the perfect pet to adopt.
