After the parade the Bruin football team will host the Hughson Huskies for their Friday night lights Homecoming game. The community is invited to show their support at the parade and the Friday night game with JV at 5 p.m. and Varsity at 7 p.m., the evening also featuring the crowning of new Homecoming royalty.

The theme for the 2019 Fall Homecoming Week is “Bruins Got Game” that began this past Monday, Sept. 30 and will continue through Friday, Oct. 4. Keeping up with the game theme the seniors are Monopoly, juniors are Super Mario Brothers, sophomores are Jumanji, and the freshman class theme is Candyland.

The dress days are as follows” on Monday students could wear pajamas or dress as a character from Candyland. Tuesday students could show their spirit as a tourist, animal or just sport camouflage. Today, Wednesday, Oct. 2 students can wear orange, red, or yellow or perhaps they may be dressed like a Super Mario character. With the theme of Monopoly students can sport formal attire like ties, slacks, or black or green colors for Thursday. Finally on Friday students are all asked to show their school spirit for one final day sporting their class colors.

The lunch time activities will include a guessing game, scavenger hunt, pie eating contest, musical chairs, and a friendly game of tug-o-war.

The festivities for Homecoming are a Bruin tradition that the students and staff at Riverbank High all enjoy and look forward to continuing this year.
