American Veterans First offered a drive-thru food giveaway this past weekend that was organized by Shirley Serato and Paige McLaughlin and featured the work of several volunteers. The giveaway started at 9 a.m. and they reported that they distributed food to about 71 families. The bags were filled with a variety of edible items including canned goods, pasta and granola. AVF officials said they are hopeful that they will be able to do one more food distribution before Christmas.
