Average gasoline prices in Modesto have fallen 3.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $5.62/gallon on Monday, April 13, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 201 stations in Modesto. Prices in Modesto are 32.1 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 93.5 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has increased 4.1 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $5.61 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Modesto was priced at $5.09/gallon while the most expensive was $6.49, a difference of $1.40/gallon. The lowest price in the state was $4.49 while the highest was $9.79, a difference of $5.30/gallon.
The national average price of gasoline is unchanged in the last week, averaging $4.07/gallon. The national average is up 39.1 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 93.4 cents per gallon higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
Historical gasoline prices in Modesto and the national average going back five years show the highest Modesto price was $5.43 per gallon on April 13, 2024 and the lowest was $3.76 in 2021. Highest U.S. average was $4.07 in 2022, lowest was $2.86 per gallon on April 13, 2021.
