Riverbank Library is on Santa Fe Street, part of the Stanislaus County Library system.

Another enjoyable activity for youth in the community at the Riverbank Library occurred this past week. There were 17 participants that engaged in an artistic affair during the Musical Painting Art Lab. They walked around the tables in a circle to a song called Bananaphone by Raffi in a musical chairs type of activity. When the music stopped the youngsters would race to a painting to paint and add their creativity to someone else’s painting.

“The kids learned to paint fast because they never knew when the music would start up again,” explained Library Supervisor Vicky Holt. “Toward the end the youngest painter kept asking me to turn on the music because he loved running around the tables. So it was a painting session and activity at the same time.”

The next craft scheduled at the local library will be the Guitar Pick Jewelry on Tuesday, July 30 at 3:30 p.m.
