Construction workers spent last Friday, March 3, preparing and then pouring a foundation for a new facility for the Head Start unit on the north edge of the Riverbank High School campus.

Late in the day, an operator was cleaning up and putting away a concrete pump, while a crew of workers on the ground was smoothing out the cement that had already been poured.

The preparation work was completed by late Friday, well ahead of the thunderstorm and wave of hail that hit the Riverbank area over the weekend.
