Riverbank Parks and Recreation Department is selling memorial lights that will be represented on the city Christmas tree in the Plaza del Rio. People may purchase a light in the memory of a loved one and their name will be read at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
The Tree Lighting event will occur at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9 at the corner of Third and Santa Fe streets in downtown Riverbank. Those interested may purchase the "memorial lights" in the Recreation Department at 6707 Third St. The deadline for the purchase is Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 4 p.m.
Proceeds from the purchase will help offset the cost of the event. For more information call 863-7150.
