A senior guard on the basketball court this season, Lady Bruin Chancis Gamez was announced as having scored her 1000th high school point at a Sac-Joaquin Section Division 4 playoff game last week. The PA announcer noted that she accomplished the feat during the week before, the last of the regular season. She scored over 350 points just this season alone, and she has only been on the varsity team for the past three seasons.
