Downtown Riverbank was quiet over the past weekend, a stark change from the past 40-plus years that the city’s annual Cheese and Wine Exposition has been held. Normally jam packed on the second weekend of October, Santa Fe Street, shown here last Saturday, would be full, from First at least to Fourth Street, filled with vendors and musicians of many different types, and featuring a variety of local wines and cheeses to taste. The Cheese and Wine event was just one more casualty of the COVID-19 plagued days here in 2020, but with hopes to return in 2021.
