Brenda J. Swindell, 67, of Sonora died Monday, Jan. 17 after a battle with brain cancer.

She was born in San Francisco.

Ms. Swindell was a homemaker for 47 years.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Luciano Perguidi of Sonora; daughter, Kimberly (Bill) Jaspar of Riverbank; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two nieces; and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Manrique; parents, Dillard and Edna Swindell; sisters, Billie Faye Jetton Hall and Betty Lou Ann Van Dyke; and two nephews.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 18 at Riverbank Memorial Chapel. A celebration of life will follow services at Morningside Mobile Home Park Recreation Center, 1512 Claribel Road, Modesto.
