Debra Lynn Bedell passed away on January 21, 2023 after an extended battle with cancer. She was 58 years old. Debbie was born on August 1, 1964 in Merced, California to parents Jack Allen Bedell and Elenore Evelyn Bedell. Debbie was a cherished daughter, beloved sister, proud aunt and loyal friend. Debbie grew up in Escalon, California and graduated from Escalon High School in 1982. She was a graduate of California State University, Stanislaus with a degree in Theater. As a young adult Debbie performed in several theatrical productions in the area and created lifelong friends. At an early age she discovered travel and that became her passion in life. She shared her love of travel and enjoyed many trips with friends throughout her life. She especially enjoyed the tropics, loved the beach and swimming in the ocean. She was a co-owner of Riverbank Travel in Riverbank for over 30 years. She was proud of her work as a travel agent and had many loyal clients.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Jack Allen Bedell. She is survived by her mother, Elenore Evelyn Bedell and paternal Aunt, Merilyn (Bedell) Davis. She is also survived by her sister, Michelle Bedell Fitzgerald (Timothy) and brother John Barry Bedell (Michelle). She leaves behind four nieces and three nephews; Ian Fitzgerald, Clare Chunn (Nathan), Grace Fitzgerald, Jack Fitzgerald, Breq Young (Matt), Troy Bedell and Tess Bedell.
A private family celebration of life will be held in the Spring. Remembrances may be made to your favorite charity or local animal shelter or rescue.
