Denny Wayne Jones, Sr., 73, died Monday, July 6.
He was born to Albert and Irene Jones in Litchfield Park, AZ.
Mr. Jones worked as a heavy equipment operator for 37 years, he was retired for 18 years and he was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #3 for 55 years.
He enjoyed working in his almond orchard, working on his farm equipment, tinkering in the garage, building things and traveling with his wife, kids and grandkids. He made sure everyone knew that the greatest joy of his life was loving his family. Papa was an amazing person who will be missed everyday by his entire family.
He is survived by his wife of 54 1/2 years, Donna; children; Karen Kalteich, Kathy (Curt) Maddex, Denny (Rose) Jones, David (Robin) Jones; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one grandson.
A joint memorial service was held with his brother, Reverend Doug Jones, who passed away on July 2, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 9 at Riverbank Assembly of God Church. 3126 Stanislaus St.
