Elaine A. Thomas, 83 of Modesto died Tuesday, March 9 at Evergreen Convalescent Hospital.
A native of San Jose, she lived in the Stanislaus area all her life. She was a homemaker. She belonged to Calvary Temple and Bethel Church. She was an artist, poet and sculpturer.
She is survived by her children, Florine Smith of Riverbank and Roberta Archer of San Diego; brothers, Howard Davis of Eureka, Levelle Davis of Modesto, Harley Davis of San Jose and Doug Davis of Tuolumne; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, March 13 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Burial at Mt. Shadow Cemetery, Sonora. No visitation.
