Elwanda Marie McGar, 85, of Riverbank died Saturday, Dec. 13 at Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. McGar was a native of Oklahoma. She lived in the Riverbank area for 54 years.

She was a sanitation crew leader at Del Monte Foods for 25 years.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Smith of Missouri, Lloyd Briscoe of Florida, Carolyn Neal of Oakdale, Bill Briscoe of Modesto, Jeannie England of Coulterville, Vernon Clonts, Debbie Clonts, Lisa Brannon, and Brenda Clonts, all of Modesto; sisters, Marcella Copp of Riverbank and Janice Jefferies of Pixley; brother, Darrell Blagg of Riverbank; 16 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18 at Burwood Cemetery, Escalon.

Oakdale-Riverbank Memorial Chapels in charge of arrangements.
