JB Lewis Kromann, 23, died on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012.
He was born on Sept. 20, 1989 to Rodney and Cindi Kromann. He was a 2007 graduate of Escalon High School where he played football, wrestled and was on the track team.
An active member in Van Allen 4-H, JB attended Modesto Junior College where he majored in Kinesiology and Sports Medicine. He joined the Navy in 2009 and became a field medic. He was stationed in Sacramento and then at Camp Pendleton in San Diego.
Survivors include his parents, Rodney and Cindi Kromann; sister, Sarajane Kromann; uncle and aunt Steve and Celesta Peeden; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Goldye Nickens.
Services were Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Escalon Covenant Church. Reception followed at the Escalon Sportsman's Club on River Road.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Escalon Community Ambulance, P.O. Box 212, Escalon CA 95320.
