Jillinda (Jill) Jane Mills, 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family in her home in Oakdale, on April 22, 2024.

Jill is survived by three children, Tammy (David) Willadsen, Lee (Tony) Chee and James Mills, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and her brother William (Bernard) Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her son Tom Adkins.

Jill was born August 4, 1945 in Southern California, to Elizabeth and Warren Ferguson, where she grew up with the desert as her back yard. She resided in Southern California, raising her family until she moved from Pomona, CA to Oakdale in 1974, into the house she has resided in for 50 years.

She was the owner of Mills Fabrics, in Oakdale, in the 80’s. She was a factory machinist at the Riverbank Ammo Plant and a production line worker at Weyerhauser/International Paper until her retirement in 2010!
