Jose Caratachea, 69, passed away on July 17, 2020. He was born in Penjamillo, Michoacán, Mexico and was born to the parents of Jeronimo and Lupe. He was the third eldest of nine siblings. He is survived by his wife, mother, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, 2 children, and 4 grandchildren.
He worked for the Riverbank School District as a Lead Maintenance worker at Riverbank High School when he retired.
He was an avid fisherman, loved painting fish, dancing, socializing, and family. Everyone loved “Don Joe” as his friends called him. He had a charismatic personality and great sense of humor that drew people to him. He will be missed by family and friends. We will always love you!
Memorial service will be held for immediate family at Lakewood Memorial and a Celebration of Life service will soon be announced to family and close friends.
