Letha Stiner, 82, died Tuesday, April 13 of cancer in Hughson.

She was born in DePew, OK. She lived in Riverbank for 57 years.

Mrs. Stiner was a homemaker. Her favorite pastime was making handmade quilts for family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Richard Stiner, Danny Stiner, Melanie Boulter, all of Riverbank, Brenda (Dale) Hathcock of Wasco; siblings, Jack Mayfield of Riverbank, Leon Mayfield of Nevada, Charles Mayfield of Oklahoma, Janie Blaylock, Lynita Faulkenberry, both of Arkansas; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews in the Escalon and Oakdale areas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Stiner; son, David Stiner; parents, Archie and Alpha Mayfield; brothers, A.W. Mayfield, John Mayfield, Bob Mayfield, Jim Mayfield, Bill Mayfield; and sister, Faye Purvis.

A funeral service was held April 20 at Lakewood Cemetery, Hughson. Place of interment was Lakewood Cemetery.
