Manuel Salazar Castanon, 76, of Riverbank died Sunday, Dec. 30 at Oak Valley Hospital.
He was a native of Cutter and lived in Riverbank for 52 years.
Mr. Castanon worked as a housekeeper for Memorial Hospital for 10 years. He was a member of St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Castanon of Riverbank; children, Carmen Bernal, Carlos Castanon, Leticia Castanon, all of Riverbank, Jaime Castanon of Modesto, Paula Tlascala of Salida, Rose Robles of Arizona; brother, Lee S. Castanon of Riverbank; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 at St. Frances of Rome with visitation until 8 p.m. at the church.
Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 at St. Frances of Rome with burial to follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
