Maria Vierra, 75, of Riverbank died Thursday, Oct. 28 at her residence.

A native of Terceira, Azores, she lived in Riverbank for 27 years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of U.P.P.E.C. and St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and embroidering.

She is survived by her husband, Henrique Vierra; children, Maria Nunes of Riverbank, George Vierra of Escalon, Lucia Carlos of San Jose and Adelina Rodriguez of Modesto; siblings, Carmina Lima of Los Banos, Francisco Da Rocha and Jose Da Rocha, both of Brazil, Deolinda Coelho, Valentina Silveira, Durvalina Ladeira, Lucia Da Rocha and Manuel Da Rocha, all of the Azores; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 2 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Riverbank. Rosary was said. Visitation was held. Interment was at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Escalon.
