The World lost a remarkable Woman. Patricia Haas Izzo passed away the morning of April 24, 2024. Patricia was born in Cumberland County, Millville New Jersey on May 20, 1942. She graduated Misericordia Nursing School in 1963.

Patricia then married her husband two years later on August 20, 1965.

The only way to truly know the wonder of this woman was to meet her. “Gentle”, “Kind”, “Giving”, “Caring”, “Loving”, and “Supportive” are all words people use to describe someone. Patricia was the person people used to define these words. She was the first to ask, “What could I do to help”. Her late husband, Dr. Joseph Izzo, often said, “She was the most selfless person I’ve ever known.” And she made wicked good molasses cookies. My biggest regret is that more people didn’t have the chance to meet this sweet and beautiful woman. Literally everyone that knew her, loved her. She made the house a place where people wanted to gather, to hang out, to play and to call home. When you entered the home, she was the reason you felt like you belonged. Every person she met would leave the house with a hug.

After beating breast cancer, then two years of fighting against COPD, vascular disease, and edema, she succumbed to a heart attack. Nana’s greatest attribute was her heart, and it finally gave out. Despite the severity of her struggle, this was unexpected, and she will be missed by all who knew her. However, she waited patiently for six years and is now with her husband. Her greatest joys live on: two children, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Oakdale Golf and Country Club.

Services will be a Rosary, Sunday, May 19 at 5 p.m. and Memorial, Monday, May 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Oakdale, CA.
