Silvia Romero, 49, of Sonora died Saturday, April 11 at Doctors Medical Center.
Mrs. Romero was a native of Mexico. She lived in Sonora 16 years.
She was a prep cook at Diamond Back Grill for 15 years.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Sonora.
She is survived by her husband, Jorge Romero of Sonora; children, Juana Romero and Jorge Romero, both of Riverbank, Jose Romero of Sonora; sisters, Hermelinda Hernandez of Jamestown, Evangelina Avila of Los Angeles, Alicia Placensia of Texas, Beatriz Ruiz of Sacramento, Maria de Jesus Garduno of Sonora; brothers, Juan Ramirez, Jose Ramirez, Ernesto Ramirez, Ramiro Ramirez, Alejando Ramirez, Cristobal Ramirez, all of Sonora; parents, Jose and Guadalupe Ramirez of Mexico; and three grandchildren.
A rosary was said Sunday, April 19 at the family residence in Riverbank. Mass was held April 20 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, Riverbank.
