Warren Lyle Akre, 81, of Riverbank died Tuesday, Jan. 4 at his home.
A native of San Francisco, he lived in Riverbank for seven years. He was a chain polisher at Campbell Chain Company for 17 years. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Sierra Foothills Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Delores M. Akre of Riverbank; children, Michael Akre of Columbus, Ohio, Steven L. Akre of Pacifica and Rebeca Bons of Fallon, Nev.; sister, Fearn DeLago of Hayward; brother, Alvin Akre of Hayward; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, Jan. 8 at Sierra Foothills Community Church. No visitation.
