Parole Violation, Robbery Incidents Keep Deputies Busy

On Friday, Sept. 17 in the late morning hours, deputies were dispatched to the 2400 block of Claribel Road for the report of a subject cursing and yelling at subjects. Deputies contacted a 34-year-old man on scene. After their investigation was completed he was booked at the Public Safety Center for Public intoxication.

During the evening hours on Thursday, Sept. 16, deputies were dispatched to the 2600 block of Patterson Road for a subject possibly starting a fire. When they arrived they contacted a 51-year-old man on the scene. Authorities said he resisted deputies as he was being detained. After their investigation was completed he was transported to the Public Safety Center and booked on charges of obstruction, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a probation violation.

On Wednesday, Sept. 15 in the afternoon, deputies were dispatched to the 3400 block of Stanislaus Street for the report of a fight with weapons. After their investigation a 39-year-old man was transported to the Public Safety Center and charged with trespassing and brandishing a weapon.

During the evening on Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to the 2600 block of Patterson Road for the report of a robbery. They contacted a subject identified as Manuel Millanes, 43, and after conducting their investigation, Millanes was booked into the Public Safety Center on charges of robbery.

Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle parked in the 2400 block of Claribel Road in the early morning hours on Tuesday, Sept. 14. They contacted a 21-yer-old man. After conducting their investigation the man was booked in the Public Safety Center for charges of possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

During the early morning hours on Tuesday, deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of Preakness Drive for a disturbance. After deputies conducted their investigation Zirah Broadusbynum, 24, was booked into the Public Safety Center on charges including sexual assault, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, vandalism, brandishing a weapon and a parole violation.

In the afternoon on Tuesday, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle speeding on Atchison Road. The pursuit was cancelled and later the driver of the vehicle was contacted at a local hospital with a gunshot injury. Deputies responded to the hospital and determined the shooting occurred in Merced County. There is limited suspect information and the report was forwarded to Merced County for follow up.

On Sunday, Sept. 12 during the early morning hours, deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of Estelle Avenue for an alarm call. They located forced entry to the building and contacted a 35-year-old man inside. After their investigation was conducted the subject was booked into the Public Safety Center on charges of burglary and vandalism.
