On Monday, Aug. 17 construction began at Sierra Railroad Crossing. The road will be closed on Eighth Street between Townsend Avenue and Belgian Avenue due to the construction through Monday, Aug. 24. Traffic detours will be in place. 

The work is being done by Sierra Railroad on the railroad tracks.

Also, construction began on a project on Tuesday, Aug. 18 and will continue through Friday, Aug. 21 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be construction work at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Patterson Road during this time. Traffic control devices will be in place.
