Experiencing a high volume of incidents, deputies in Riverbank responded to 514 calls during the past two weeks including driving under the influence, thefts, burglary, and fights.

On Monday, Feb. 13 at 1:05 a.m. deputies responded to Atchison Street and First Street for a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. The subject was contacted and after investigation she was arrested for DUI. She was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.

On Sunday, Feb. 12 at 5:13 a.m. deputies responded to Roselle Avenue and Pocket Avenue for a hit and run. There is no suspect information.

At 1:09 p.m. on Sunday deputies responded to Target for a theft report. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputies responded to a call of a possible drunk driver on Sunday at 7:02 p.m. They located a vehicle matching the description and contacted a 36-year-old woman. After investigation she was arrested for DUI and booked at the Stanislaus Detention Center.

On Saturday, Feb. 11 at 10:22 a.m. deputies located a 61-year-old man walking in downtown Riverbank. They knew he had warrants, so he was taken into custody, transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked on the warrants.

At 12:12 p.m. on Saturday deputies responded to the 6000 block of Venhaus Way for an assault. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputies responded to Galaxy Theatre for five juveniles that had sprayed a fire extinguisher in the business on Saturday at 8:20 p.m. The parents of all five were contacted after Galaxy managers just wanted them lectured and released.

On Friday, Feb. 10 at 9:13 a.m. deputies responded to the 5700 block of Chancellor Way for a vehicle burglary. The investigation is ongoing.

At 10:11 a.m. on Friday deputies responded to the 3600 block of Riverside Drive for a vandalism report. An unknown subject cut the reporting party’s fence. There is no suspect information.

Deputies responded to the 3100 block of Atchison Street for a fight inside the business on Friday at 11:35 a.m. with one subject arrested for assault and transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center where he was booked.

At 3:07 p.m. on Friday deputies were at Target taking a report when a woman placed several items in her purse and tried to run out the front doors without paying; she was issued a citation for petty theft and released.

On Thursday, Feb. 9 at 11:55 a.m. deputies responded to Ulta for a theft that just occurred. Tracking devices on the merchandise led deputies and Modesto Police Department to the suspects who had fled. Two subjects were taken into custody and booked into the Stanislaus Detention Center on multiple charges.

At 4:58 p.m. on Thursday deputies responded to the 2600 block of Topeka Street for a disturbance. A 45-year-old man was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.

Deputies responded to the 6400 block of Central Avenue for a family fight on Thursday at 7:22 p.m. A 34-year-old woman was taken into custody without incident. She was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.

On Wednesday, Feb. 8 several online reports were made regarding EBT funds being taken off of subjects’ cards.

At 9:31 a.m. on Wednesday deputies responded to McDonalds for a hit and run collision report.

Later at 5:16 p.m. on Wednesday deputies conducted a traffic stop for no front plate. The subject was cited for an outstanding warrant and released.

Deputies responded to a fight with weapons at 2701 Topeka Street on Wednesday at 10:12 p.m. Subjects were seen arguing while one subject was holding a baseball bat. The report will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office.

On Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 12:02 a.m. deputies stopped a 31-year-old man for a vehicle violation. He was cited and released after drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle.

At 3:51 a.m. on Tuesday deputies responded to 2701 Topeka Street for a family fight; reported as a verbal argument.

Deputies responded to the 3700 block of Texas Avenue to take a burglary report on Tuesday at 9:09 a.m. A large amount of property was stolen from the house. The investigation is ongoing.

At 6:52 p.m. on Tuesday deputies responded to Ulta for a theft report. Two subjects walked in, took several fragrances, and left without paying. The investigation is ongoing.
