Deputies with Riverbank Police Services responded to a number of calls for service this past week including traffic collisions, robbery, DUI, and residential burglary.

On Saturday, April 16 at 11:10 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a robbery in the 5800 block of Antique Rose. The investigation is still ongoing.

At 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to the report of a child custody dispute on Sierra Street.

Deputies responded to a traffic collision with injuries, blocking the roadway at Terminal Avenue and Van Dusen Avenue, on Saturday at 9:05 p.m.

On Friday, April 15 at 12:35 p.m., deputies responded to a civil dispute in the 3500 block of Atchison Street.

At 11:15 p.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the report of a fight in the 3400 block of Stanislaus Street. The investigation is still ongoing.

On Thursday, April 14 at 3:45 a.m., a 26-year-old female was stopped driving 104 mph on Oakdale Road at Heartland Drive. She had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .22 and was arrested for DUI.

Deputies responded to the report of a shoplifter at the SaveMart on Thursday at 10:40 a.m. A subject was arrested for stealing $300 worth of merchandise from the store.

At 4:25 p.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to the report of a theft by false pretenses in the 3400 block of Santa Fe Street.

Deputies responded to the report of a residential burglary in the 3300 block of Stanislaus Street on Thursday at 4:25 p.m.

On Wednesday, April 13 at 2:25 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, minor injuries at the intersection of Topeka Street and Callander Avenue.

Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 3400 block of Santa Fe Street on Wednesday at 2:48 p.m. Jose Valdez, 40, damaged a vehicle for a total of over $450. Valdez fled prior to deputies’ arrival. At 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies observed Valdez walking near the intersection of Sierra Avenue and Patterson Road. He was taken into custody and booked in jail for felony vandalism.

At 3:50 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to the report of found property in the 2800 block of Sierra Street.

Deputies responded to the report of a family fight in the 2700 block of Topeka Street on Wednesday at 6:55 p.m.

On Tuesday, April 12 at 4 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a vandalism in the 3600 block of Castlepark Drive. Gerard Sotaso, 25, vandalized his father’s vehicle in the front yard. Sotaso was arrested and booked in county jail for felony vandalism.

On Monday, April 11 at 12:05 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of Winding River Court on a report of a lost or stolen handgun.  The owner realized their firearm is missing and does not know its whereabouts.

At 1:09 p.m. on Monday, deputies were dispatched to the 2800 block of Patterson Road on a report of a stolen vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to the 3500 block of Sierra Street on a report of a man with a gun on Monday at 9:47 p.m. Upon further investigation, it was determined that a 37-year-old man, who is known to deputies, was under the influence of narcotics and hallucinating. He was taken into custody for being under the influence in public.
