School District Staff Recognized For Years Of Service

The Riverbank Unified School District held a Kick-Off event prior to the start of the new school year where staff and teachers were recognized for their years of service.

Riverbank Unified School District staff that includes administration and teachers began the 2019-20 school year with a Kick-Off event that was held on Aug. 5 at the Ray Fauria Gymnasium on the Riverbank High School campus. The keynote speaker was Mr. Kenneth Wesson, who is a former educator and administrator. The guests were treated to a luncheon and many attendees were recognized for their 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service to the district. Honorees work at a variety of campuses including Riverbank High School, Adelante Continuation High School, Cardozo Middle School, Mesa Verde Elementary, California Avenue Elementary, the District office and Riverbank Language Academy.

For 15 years of service the following classified and certificated personnel were honored: Elizabeth Medeiros, Monica Villarreal, Colleen Nabors, Charlotte Bowden, Amy Buchanan, Rebecca Evans, Maria Biesiadecki, Kevin Bizzini, Cassandra Ross, Cindy Brannon, Emily Tigert, and Vanessa Rojas.

The following personnel were honored for 20 years of service: Jo Anne Cabrera, Peggy Edwards, Laura Robertson, Peter Perkins, Lori Sauls, Dennis J. Jennings, Cheryl Galvan-Azevedo, and Victor Lopez.

With 25 years of service to the district the following people were honored: Suzie Andalon, Gregorio Sarabia, Maria Ruiz, Davie Reed, Tony Contreras, Laura Manriquez, and Darlene Ribeiro.

The 30 year honorees were: Alfredo Hernandez, Mary Lopez, Kathy Palomino, Kathleen Briggs, and Tammy Dolman.
