CSU Trustees Award

Turlock native Colin Bethishou, a business major with a concentration in computer information systems, is Stanislaus State’s recipient of the 2023-24 California State University Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement.

 

Mental Healthcare

Stanislaus State has received $210,000 from HealthForce Partners Northern San Joaquin to award scholarships up to $5,000 to graduate students preparing for careers in social work, clinical counseling and marriage and family therapy. The scholarships are aimed at addressing the shortage of mental health care providers in the northern San Joaquin Valley and are an element of Stanislaus State’s participation in the San Joaquin Behavioral Health Workforce Partnership.

 

Hall of Fame

For the first time since 2020, Stanislaus State’s Department of Athletics has announced its Hall of Fame Class of 2023. This year’s inductees are:

Kasey Burlingham (Track/Field)

Kevin Cunningham (Volunteer)

Alexia Poon (Women’s Soccer)

Head Coach Jan Schefkowitz (Softball) and

The 2007 Softball Team

This year’s ceremony will be held Saturday, Oct. 14 in the Event Center on the Turlock Campus. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

 

Sip, Savor and Scholarships

Join in Thursday, Sept. 21 for an evening with friends, indulging in the finest local flavor while raising money for scholarships. Proceeds from Vines go toward scholarships and programming provided by the Stanislaus State Alumni Association. Tickets are $60, and the event is open to the public.
