New Oakdale Chief of Police Jerry Ramar was sworn in before members of the Oakdale Police Department, Oakdale City Council members, his family, friends, law enforcement associates, and community members at the Oakdale City Council meeting Monday, Nov. 1. Ramar is an Oakdale resident and has served the local department since 2019 when he was hired as lieutenant. Ramar now leads a team of 53 full-time and part-time members of the Oakdale PD.
