rusd

Riverbank Unified School District has partnered with the University of California, Merced to create an academic pathway for RUSD students. When satisfied, the pathway will guarantee admission for the student to UC Merced.

Information about the Merced Automatic Admission Program – MAAP – will be offered at an upcoming program in Riverbank and all interested students and their families are encouraged to attend. The event is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in the Fauria gymnasium on the Riverbank High School campus. Attendees can learn how to receive guaranteed admission to UC Merced, which is ranked as one of the top 100 Universities in the nation.

Students can elect any major of their choice when applying to UC Merced on the Fall 2024 University of California Undergraduate Application for Admission and Scholarships during the Oct. 1 through Nov. 30 priority filing period.

Included in the Sept. 21 session will be a review of the program criteria as well as an opportunity to get questions answered regarding the MAAP and how students can benefit from participating.

The program is billed as “A partnership in creating pathways to success in the journey from high school to higher ed in the Central Valley.”

High school juniors will submit their MAAP application by July 1 prior to the start of their senior year. Students will be notified if they qualify for the program prior to the UC application deadline of Nov. 30. Program participants will be prioritized in the application review process and will be notified of their admissions in early March.
