Vandalism, Dispute Calls Keep Officers Busy

The Riverbank Police Services Deputies had a busy week last week responding to cases including felony vandalism, domestic disputes and more.

During the morning of Friday, April 9, deputies investigated a felony vandalism of a vehicle in the 3700 block of Nevada Avenue. Jose Vega, 46, has been identified as the responsible and he is currently wanted.

Late in the evening on Thursday, April 8, deputies investigated a dispute in the 5200 block of Squire Wells Way with the report of a 39-year-old man arrested.

Around noon on Wednesday, April 7, deputies responded to the report of a subject passed out in front of the Carl’s Jr. Deputies arrested a 63-year-old man for public intoxication.

During the afternoon on Wednesday, deputies arrested a 26-year-old in the 5900 block of Newbrook Drive as he had a warrant for his arrest.

On the morning of Tuesday, April 6, deputies assisted the Modesto Police in locating a responsible who brandished a firearm within their jurisdiction. Local deputies located the responsible in the 2200 block Patterson Road. The 21-year-old man was arrested for brandishing a firearm and his firearm was recovered, the investigation was turned over to MPD.

Later in the morning on Tuesday, deputies stopped a 54-year-old man near Santa Fe and Fourth Streets as he had a warrant for his arrest.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Community Resource Deputy was able to arrest a 37-year-old from Modesto in connection with several package thefts in and around Riverbank along with other unrelated charges. Deputies also arrested Marivel Hernandez, 30, for organized retail theft and conspiracy as authorities said she is part of a crew that has repeatedly stolen items from Ulta Beauty Supply.
