Bruin Baseball Boys Back To TVL Grind

With a disappointing opening to the Trans-Valley League schedule, the Riverbank Bruins will have to come out recharged for the remainder of the team's varsity baseball campaign.

Riverbank has put together a few quality performances, yet has been unable to hop into the win column thus far through league action. The Bruins' greatest struggles come from within the batter's box, where Riverbank has been shut out three times on the season and held to a single run on two other occasions.

To the Bruins credit, the start to their TVL schedule was extremely difficult. Riverbank was forced to open league play with a trip to take on the Ripon Indians and the Modesto Christian Crusaders sandwiched around a home game against one of the best small schools in the section, the Escalon Cougars.

All three contests ended in losses, but the Bruins were able to push across a couple of runs in their 12-2 battle with the Cougars.

Riverbank was able to gain some promise during their trip to Denair for the Denair Tournament over the spring break.
