City’s Youth Baseball, Softball Registration Set

The schedule for the upcoming season of Riverbank Youth Baseball and Softball is set, with registration dates and more information available for parents.

Registration fees for this year’s age groups in both baseball and softball have been announced. They vary according to age group and sport.

 

Baseball

For baseball players, the cutoff is for ages before May 1.

Registration for T-Ball, ages 4-6, is $140. For Rookies, ages 7-8, the cost is $150. For Minors, ages 9-10, it’s $160, for Majors, 11-12, it’s $170 and for Pony, ages 13-15, cost is $180.

In addition, there’s a $50 deposit for snack bar service.

All parents are required to volunteer two hours per family in the snack bar during the season, for both regular games and tournaments. Each family is required to pay the $50 deposit, refundable once the two hours have been completed. It’s applicable to families of both softball and baseball players.

 

Softball

For softball players, the age cutoff is the age before Dec. 31.

Registration for 8-Under is $150, 10-Under is $160, 12-Under is $170, 14-Under is $180. The same $50 snack bar deposit applies.

Evaluations for team players are set for Feb. 12, with times to be determined.

 

Opening Day/Picture Day

Ceremonies are set for March 19, weather permitting, with a parade from the Riverbank Community Center to Castleberg Park. Assembly will begin at 8 a.m. The schedule for pictures will be announced later.

 

Riverbank Day At Modesto Nuts

That’s set for Friday, April 8. Each player will receive one ticket, with additional tickets available at the snack bar at Castleberg Park.

 

Closing Ceremonies

End of the season is set for 9 a.m. on May 14.
